Our day so far...

Here is a pic of Emma with all of her missing teeth.
Soph let Emma put some make up on and do her hair.
From the kitchen, I overheard her say, "I look gorgeous!"
Poor Lily fell asleep in her highchair while we were getting ready to go.
Feathers & Tinsel!
The girls got to go see Khari today and have feathers and tinsel crimped into their hair. They have been waiting a month to do this!

Teeth!

We have a lot going on with teeth in this household. Emma pulled out her second top tooth yesterday so she is currently missing 4 teeth. We joke with her that she needs to get the new ones in in time for corn on the cob! Lily has gotten her first two bottom teeth over the last week or two. She looks pretty darn cute. I'll post photos later.

I heart Walmart!

Yes, I'll admit it. I love Walmart! We always find the great stuff there and it's so inexpensive. Before I put groceries and goods away today, I thought I'd snap a pic of our favorite finds from today's trip.Miracle Grow single packs, Resolve pet stain remover (works well on baby spit up, too), Downy fabric softener in lilac, limited edition shave gel, glitter hair barrettes, "Wizards" Go-Gurts, pop-tarts case for Soph, pink zebra print wristlet for me (handy for cell phone for quick trips into a store), Fels-Naptha (97cents) and some extra girly glitter shoes. Also, not pictured was bubble bath in bottles shaped like Ariel and Cinderella. Huge find for the girls. They became my bargaining chips to get through the store with them. I have to say it worked. They were good during the trip.
This was the final test for Emma's class. She said that she knew she could do it because she had jumped from higher than that at tumbling class. Way to go, Emma!
Soph's class was a little shorter. She was watching Emma jump in while warming up in her cover up and towel. She did a great job in her first swim class. Proud of you, Soph!
Crying a bit as she walked to the diving board. Poor thing.
If you look closely, you can see that Emma is crying a little bit. She was just over being cold! I can't say I blame her. I walked over and told her she was almost done and she could get in a hot bath as soon as she got home. She bucked up, jumped off the diving board and finished her class. Good girl!

BRRRR!!!

The girls had a make up swim lesson today and it was a tad chilly to say the least! You couldn't have paid me to get in.Between shivering and teeth chattering, Soph did have some fun.
Can you tell she is shivering?

Practicing with kick boards.
Hi, Soph!

beach pics

Here are some photos we finally took at the beach with my new camera. Thank goodness for digital. We took a ton! Funny thing is that it's usually the first one that's the best.

Really?!

There was a shark attack down the road yesterday in Orange Beach, AL. A guy fell off his jet ski and was bitten by a bull shark in the foot. He didn't bleed to death because he got back on his jet ski and someone on shore applied a tourniquet. Looks like we WILL NOT be swimming the rest of the week!

Happy Fathers Day!

Here is a belated Fathers Day photo of Tim with his favorite little ladies. This was taken last night while we were waiting to be seated for dinner. We raised our glasses and toasted "The Best Daddy Ever." We love you! You truly are the BEST!
Poor Lil just couldn't fight the sleep anymore. The sound of the waves and walking around just did her in.
"Daddy, you look that way and I'll look this way."

Soph is not a fan. She had a look of utter disgust when I opened the box.
Emma was curious but not brave enough to try one.
Lil and her entertainer.

Gulf Shores

Here are some pics for now. I'll post more later....
SO ready for that kiddie pool!
Sorry about the foggy lens, but it was a quick photo before heading out for dinner.
Lily was a pretty good little traveler on the way down. As long as her belly was full and she had something to play with and someone to talk to, she was good.

Watch out! Baby coming through!

My rantings...

Here's an equation for the day.

What do you get when you:

are packing for vacation
+
Daddy has worked late everyday
+
one extra large lab is blowing his coat (vacuuming everyday)
+
one teething baby
+
one overtired 5 year old
+
one overtired 3 year old
+
full moon
+
one exhausted Mama

= ONE GROUCHY FAMILY !!

Holy smokes, this had been a day for books, folks! I hope it can only go up from here. Until then...

Summer

The girls watched another movie in their "Movie Theater," aka the pantry. They like it because it's the darkest room in the house during the day. I think they watched The Little Mermaid. Emma was the ticket taker beforehand and guided Soph to the right theater. It's funny what they pick up on.
Big Lil popped out her first tooth today. I can barely feel the edge of it. It makes me a little sad because to me it means she's growing too fast.
The girls had a swim lesson this morning and it was chilly to say the least. The temp was 65 when we got there. Brrrr! Their lips were blue when they got out and their teeth chattered all the way home. They took a warm bath to thaw out and then had some warm pizza for lunch. It's hard to tell in this photo, but their lips are still a little blue.

Oh, my feet!

I have 6 blisters on my feet! Tim and I went to Zoobilation last night for the first time which included a free (for us) night at the Omni. Yes, I was told to wear comfortable shoes, so I of course, chose my most comfortable black sequined ones. There are NO high heels that won't kill your feet after standing and walking around the zoo for 4 hours! At one point, I knew I couldn't take them off because they wouldn't have gone back on. Oh well, rookie mistake. I will wear some bedazzled flip flops next year like the seasoned veterans did.
Our hotel was great. We slept in until 10am! Love black out curtains. We opted out of the free breakfast to instead hit up Le Peeps for our usual "18 Wheeler" for Tim and the Eggs Benedict for me....with a whole pot of coffee, too.
Nana had a slumber party with the girls on the sofa bed in the playroom. They always have a good time when she stays.
There was a ton of "swag" to be had at the party that night so Tim snagged some IM glowing stir sticks and light up necklaces for the girls and they loved them! Gotta love that free stuff.
We are ready to crash on the couch and try to rent a movie. I'll let Tim pick because there's a good chance I won't be awake for most of it.

Tuckered out!

I am tired tonight. The girls and I didn't have a whole lot planned for the first part of the day except the usual laundry and vacuuming, but this afternoon was a bit crazy for us.
I had to take Tank and Liesl to the vet to get updated on their vaccines in order to be boarded for vacation. Well I can't fit the girls and the dogs into the Envoy very easily. I have to puzzle together some carseats and booster seats for the girls. It's a real pain. Liz was nice enough to watch them for me while I took the dogs by myself. Thank goodness!
I have a barrier for my car to keep the dogs in the back and for some reason it kept tipping backwards and landing on them. Tank freaked out and jumped up to the front panting and slobbering all the way. I had to stop twice on the way there and once on the way home to fix that stupid thing.
What's worse is that the dogs were CRAZY at the vet's office. Tank was he usual spazzy self, but Liesl took nuts to a whole new level. It took three of us to hold her to get her nails clipped! I was covered in dog hair and scratched and needed drink by the time we were done!
Thankfully, Nana zipped the girls to tumbling class for me where I met them later.
It took me a half hour to clean the dog hair and slobber out of my car. After all that chaos, it looked like a fur bomb had gone off in there! Geesh. At least they are good to go vaccine wise for a whole year. I'm making Tim go with me then.
Speaking of Tim, I think he fell asleep in Emma's bed. Wonder how long he'll stay up there.
Off veg on the couch for a while...

Dance lessons have started!

This photos are in the reverse order that I wanted to put them in. This top one shows Soph's annoyance at Emma for being a photo hog.

This is Soph's very first dance class. She has been so excited for it to start. She has had her dance bag packed for a week!

Swinging

Lily loves the swing!

On a side note, I'm wondering if Lily sneaked some of my java today. She has not napped! all day! I have put her in her swing 3 times and she just keeps talking to herself. Maybe she's extra excited about her new stroller, too. Ahh, like mother, like daughter.

Lily's new stroller

I have been looking for the perfect stroller forever! No kidding, I bet I have looked at a thousand. It's ended up being a personal quest to find one that fit all my criteria. I might go so far to say an obsession.
So behold... The Graco Urbanlite in "Lily."
I have been so excited about getting I actually tracked in thru FedEx online. Ridiculous, I know. But I have to say I'm just giddy about it today.
The biggest criteria it had to have was the ability to fit under the shelf in my cargo area. Yes, I have an umbrella stroller that would fit, but I like all the bells and whistles that the Beast (our full size stroller we got for Emma) has. I love the Beast, but it takes up the entire cargo area and I have to plan our shopping trips accordingly. Plus, the Beast is 32 pounds! It got its own seat in Dad's plane on the way to Disney in February...even got buckled in!

So now you know what excites a mom of three kids :)
