We loaded up the car with our warmest clothes and headed up to Chicago to go to the American Girl Store over the weekend. Emma picked out a girl with the same color hair and eyes and her and Sophie picked our her favorite Bitty Baby. I joked that Lily was my Bitty Baby, so here is a photo of us with our "babies."
Here is the wee one in her Christmas stocking that Great Grandma Lois made for her. Grandma Lois has made roughly 40 of these! Everyone in our family has one. I love it. Lily doesn't seem to mind it either.
She is so close to smiling. As I was taking these pix this evening, I was trying to catch her first smile to a person. She smiles in her sleep all the time.
Emma had her dance recital this evening. She danced to "Marshmallow World" by Bing Crosby. She was mostly excited to get roses from Daddy after the performance.
Since Emma had cut the sides of her hair so short, she ended up with more of a bob type cut. Our hairdresser, Carrie, did a wonderful job. We will have to use clips for a while to hide the super short bangs.
We attended the Nutcracker ballet at Butler again this year. It was Sophie's first time to go. They loved it. Here are some photos of Sophie practicing some ballet poses. She is ready to sign up for dance lessons.
We got together with The Wanstraths at my Uncle Jake and Aunt Nancy's house. The girls were the only little kids there. They had a good time being the center of attention all day.
Sophie helped me give Lily a bath the other day. She was in charge of washing her hair with the baby brush. She's such a good little helper. Our little "Baby Burrito"

Sorry that I can't rotate this pic. Just don't hurt your neck looking at it :)
