Lil's cool jammies

The bones on these jammies glow in the dark. I took some pics while I was waiting for Em and Soph to get ready so we could turn off the lights and watch her glow.

Big girl

I've been stretching out the use of the infant seat as long as possible. She still fits per weight and height and I do sometimes still lug her in somewhere in it. In the next few weeks I'll switch to the bigger one.

Our day

I snapped this photo as a comparison of a similar one from last year. I can't believe how quickly it's gone.
She likes her new Violet dog because it sings, plays music and says her name.
Look at those pointed toes!

I feel like Emma and Soph have been tag teaming me today with fits and meltdowns...and it's only 3:30! Here Soph wanted to change clothes before going outside because Emma did (changed out of her uniform). I wouldn't let her because they have been going through a ridiculous amount of laundry that I am tired of doing. It became a battle of waiting it out. Either she fussed and sat in time out or bucked up and put her same shirt back on.
Mommy 1: Soph 0.
I somehow feel like I'm not ahead though. :(
More to post after our traditional birthday pizza dinner.

Lily's Birthday Bash

The party girl...She was very curious and a bit nervous as to why everyone was at our house. She kept looking around as if she was saying, "hey, what are you doing here? Oh, you're here, too?"
The fall decorations with the birthday ones are a change for us in this house. We look forward to hay rides and bonfires for this little fall girl's birthdays.

She thinks she's pretty hot stuff cruising around the coffee table. She can even go around those tricky corners.
Happy Party Day, Lil!

She's ready to open presents!
This dog just said my name!

The backsplash tile

I realized I had posted before shots of this but no after so "VOILA!" I love it. I really love the undercabinet lighting. I use it all the time!

Cross stitch project

I might add Liesl, Tank and Max.
Here are my sketches of all of us graphed out. Lily and I went to Michaels this week and I laid all of these pages on the floor and matched up colors of clothing so they kind of match. Similar to what you would do for a family photo.
Here is how I labeled all the floss. (This is my abandoned coupon binder)
So far...Tim's pants and bottom half of his sweater.
Tim graphed out.

Friday night

My latest project. Grandma asked me about my latest project so I thought I would show some pics of what I'm up to. I found this in Martha Stewart and thought it would be fun to make a small cross stitch like this of us.
I can't believe Liesl actually stood still long enough for me to snap this. Emma added the ribbon flare to the witch hat. She was squealing behind me in laughter.
Soph liked Lil's new dress was being her goofy self. Lil especially liked the ribbon.
Emma loves birthdays! Look at her face.
Lily got to open her first "1st birthday" gift this week. Aunt Jan stopped by to drop it off and as soon as Emma and Sophie got home from school and saw it they felt Lily needed to open it right away. I let them, as long as I could take some pictures.

Our morning

Emma is already off to Kindergarten thanks to Daddy. This is the little face I get to see. She's in that stage where she coos and talks to herself when she first wakes up and I can hear her in the monitor. I wonder what she's saying.
She loves Max. Whenever she hears him or sees him, she goes, "kee" like that's her name for him.

Another shot of our morning. Soph watching cartoons, Tank on the hearth, Liesl in her usual spot and you can also spy Max on the coffee table.
His napping place.
A typical morning for Soph...snuggled in the chair watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
The reason I have to vacuum everyday. Tank had just been laying on this mat and brought in all the grass clippings. Sigh...
The girls won a kids drawing contest at the Riley Festival last weekend. They both won for their age group. They were pretty excited to win and they bravely walked up to the stage by themselves (with each other, of course).

Yes...and Nana got to give them their ribbons. How fun!

Fall

Soph had her annual trip to the orchard for preschool. She and I got 4 apples each (Johnathon) and a small pumpkin.

This girl loves being the tub with her big sisters. So much fun!
