The girls had their check ups today with Uncle Scott. All healthy and ready for another year and, whew-no shots! Emma was in the 25% for height and weight, very consistent for her. Soph was 25% for ht, but 50% for weight. She has really gained some muscle in her Hot Shots gymnastics class. She is solid and strong! Lily Bean is in the 10th % for both. I think she tries to make herself mighty to make up for the tiny!
We realized Saturday evening that we hadn't seen Max all day. We looked all around our house, the neighbors' houses, in the rain, all through the house, too, three times! We were getting ready to put out posters we had made on Sunday morning when our neighbor texted me asking if our cat was missing. He was hanging out on their porch. It had stormed three times during the time he was out, so I think he got spooked and wouldn't leave their porch. The girls were pretty happy to see him, especially Lily. She had been ready to lead a search party in the "deep dark woods" flashlight ready. I was happy to see him, too...for a few seconds...and then I was mad at him for being a stupid cat to sneak outside and not come when we called him!
I can't believe summer is over and we're back to school! I have to say I was ready, though! Whew, it's been a rough few last weeks around here. If there was a competition on sister rivalry, they would bring home gold medals!
This one and I made our second annual Costco run on the girls' first day back.
We got a cart full of goods and a froyo to celebrate!
Tim didn't see what I was wearing when I headed out for errands Saturday morning. I got back, we headed to the zoo, and then realized that we were dressed alike. Oh well, great minds think alike, right?!
I've been wanting to get my nails done all summer and had a chance to go today. The girls got theirs polished, too. Now I'm sitting outside on my swing with a new Real Simple.
The girls say "fairy Gary" , aka Daddy, cleans up the dog poo in our yard. Haha!
