It's a.......GIRL!!!

Oh my goodness! There will be three Capen girls running around come fall!
What a sweet profile.

Emma and Soph were excited to watch the ultrasound video today. Emma noticed the "bones" of the spine and we could all hear the heartbeat. Although we have plenty of girls clothes already, we went to Carter's today and they picked out an outfit for this baby to wear on her way home from the hospital in October. Very sweet. We're so excited to know she's a girl!! Now just for a name...

I'm so excited that we'll find out tomorrow if the baby is a boy or girl. I'll try to get some images to post. Check the blog again tomorrow to find out!

Sorry...these photos are in reverse order:This is some of the jewelry she got from the mermaid.

In the box was her Ariel that had gotten lost at Gulf Shores beach last summer. This Ariel, she noticed right away, was not the exact same one. Apparently the mermaid just replaced it with a new one instead of finding her old one. That mermaid should have known that she would have picked up on that!

A mermaid, sometime in the night, took Emma's note out of the bottle and wrote a note to Emma along with a map to a buried treasure.

Emma's message in a bottle to a mermaid

Emma was making a wish to "Evangeline" (the star from The Princess and the Frog). We're not sure what she wished for because she made us close our eyes and ears so we couldn't hear.
Emma wrote a message for a mermaid and put it in an empty water bottle. She wanted to throw it into the ocean, but instead we told her to bury it in the evening, cover it with shells and see if it's gone in the morning. (Because mermaids will only come to the surface at night as not to be seen)

The bottle (we're not sure what the note said). She also put some flowers in it.

Beach

Captiva, FL

We are down in Captiva, FL this week on vacation. We had to make a very last minute change of plans from going to Gulf Shores, AL because 2 days before we left the oil was projected to hit that beach. Thank goodness, I was able to find flights and a condo available so we could still take a trip.
The girls did pretty well on the flight except that we took Soph to the airplane potty 4 times and once we got there she would refuse to go because it just freaked her out. Silly thing.
Here at the resort there is a large curly water slide that Emma just loves. And there are also 2 large pools with zero entry that is perfect for Soph. We've been working with them on swimming a bit this week.
We stayed at the beach mostly yesterday and the girls and Tim built an "Ariel" castle with a moat and pools. Didn't get a picture of that masterpiece though.
The weather has been nice here, very hot! I'll post more pictures later.

I'm not much for "beachy" decor, but it's funny that Emma thinks this table is just beautiful! I think she would like one for her room!
