This morning, Sophie said, "So, Papa is up in heaven with baby Jesus." It wasn't really a question from her, but more of a statement. None of us had told her yet, she seemed to already know.

Lily is walking!

Lily is taking some baby steps! She just walked from one side of the kitchen to the other. She thinks she's pretty hot stuff! :)

More January

It's 53 outside today so I shooed the girls out to play. They have swept out the playhouse with their play brooms, had a picnic of goldfish, Oreos and oranges, gone swinging and now they have their camp chairs out there.

It's here! I bought this jogging stroller online and it came today. I told my friend, Nikki, about it and she asked if I am going to jog. I laughed! I don't jog. I hate running. I will do about any other exercise other than running. I bought the stroller to take on our beach trips this year. I saw someone using one like this last year in Sanibel and it seems to do okay in the sand. I'll let you know how it works as a "beach stroller."

January

Happy now.
Soph was ticked because she had been holding Lily and then Emma swooped in and grabbed her for the picture.
Silly girl.
Don't they look snuggly!

January

Oh, it's January. The girls started back to school yesterday and we're getting back into the swing of things, but slowly. I have been sick for what feels like two weeks...flu to cold to what feels like a sinus infection. I'm over it! But, thank goodness for Advil. I feel like I've kept their company running. I am glad though to be back into our routine. I'm waiting to put the girls back in tumbling class because it's nice just to have our evenings to chill out. We always have something going on around here. Like this...
Lily had her pjs on first and the girls realized they had pjs with horses on them, too so they ran and put them on and wanted me to take their picture. (Sorry these photos are out of order.)
Lily loves to "talk" on her phone. She says, "Ha-lo?"
I had my nails done using the gel polish. Kind of like Shellac. It shouldn't chip, but like acrylics, I'll have to have them redone once my nails grow out. Hopefully, they will last close to 2 weeks.
We got a new ipad, mostly for use when we travel, but the girls (and Daddy) have been obsessed with playing Angry Birds. I bought some learning apps so now they have to do those first now. I wonder if there's a "Law Learning App" for Tim. :)
This girl is into everything now. I've had to start locking the cabinets again. She's loves the one with the trash in it!

my new camera

26287_2.png

I found this little beauty at Costco last Friday and I love it! It's a Nikon S8200. It has 16mp and 14x zoom! It will be a great camera to take anywhere. Be prepared for more posts :)

Grandma's Birthday at Wagner's

Another birthday dinner at Wagner's for us tonight. The Batesville gang met there for a family style chicken dinner. Mmmm, the best chicken around!
This is the end of the night. Girls in the pjs and ready to hit the road back home.
Being the wonderful Grandma she is, wore her beautifully handmade crown throughout the evening. It is a one of a kind.
For you birthday at Wagner's, you get to wear the chicken hat and have your photo taken. That pic is then placed on the chicken hat wall near the front door. Pretty fun idea. Soph just wanted to try it on.
Mike's birthday was yesterday, so he got to get a quick pic in it, too.
Some of the grandkiddos...Mike, Angela, Sophie, Emma, Ben, Teresa. I think Mike and Grandma are doing the chicken dance.

Grandma's Birthday at Wagner's

Mike gives it a thumbs up!
Yes, Grandma's holding a beer. (I think it's my aunt's :) ...and sitting in front of a beer banner. Can you tell this is Old German, beer drinking, chicken eating type place?! They do it up right.

FLU 1 : STEPH 0

I feel like I was sick enough last weekend to warrant a blog post about it. I'm pretty sure I had the flu...the kind I SHOULD have been vaccinated against if I had only gotten around to it. I was miserable. Body aches like never before and one of the worst sore throats ever! Even my fingers ached so badly that I took my rings off. This virus doesn't mess around. Thankfully, SO THANKFULLY, Tim was home so I could quarantine myself in the bedroom and pray that I didn't pass it to any of them. I think it worked. So far, so good this week. I have sanitized and re-sanitized and opened the windows while they were all gone to the mall. Tim was brave enough to take ALL of them to the mall so the girls could spend their gift cards for the Disney Store. They all had a nice time and came home happy. Tim was just a little tired :)
So, a resolution is to get the flu shot this year...
