Dad's Beatles Birthday

This is such a late post! Dad's party was over a week ago. We held his party at the Country Club and I have to say it was a pretty fun bash! We had a Beatles cake and a Sergeant Peppers banner that we all stood behind to be a Beatle for the day!

Can you see him? (Look to the right of Scott Dorsey's raised fist about 3 or so people.)

Tim's trip to the NYSE

Today, a client of Tim's began trading publicly. Exact Target was asked to ring the opening bell on the NYSE and Tim was asked to go since he has done so much of their legal work. It was pretty darn exciting to watch CNBC this morning and see people I knew up there on the tower ringing the bell. Tim got to stand with other ET people on the floor right in front of it. He was out to NY and back in about 24 hrs...no kidding. The trip was done in a "New York minute!" He said it was one of the most exciting things he's ever been a part of. Scott Dorsey, ET CEO is talking with Betty Liu and Cramer on CNBC.

This was Tim's view. He took this photo on his phone.
Wall Street
What an awesome banner, huh?! How exciting would it be to see that when before you walked in?!

Dad's Birthday

Because it's a big one, for Dad's birthday this year, I contacted 60 or so of his friends and family and asked them to send a card or note with funny stories or memories to me. Then I gave them all to him in one box.

Sanibel, FL

We went to Sanibel from last Thursday through Monday. Our weather was awesome! We had a condo right on the beach and on the corner so the views were spectacular. The girls did a lot of swimming. I was so proud of Emma. She practiced enough to where she was jumping in the deep end and swimming around. She was pretty proud of herself, too. This little monkey was a bit tricky to entertain for the travel days. She DID NOT want to sit still in her carseat! She climbed around her seat and paced the floor for a long time.
One of the meltdowns...

Our little friend, Gus who shared the condo with us for a few days.

Waiting for our table at The Mucky Duck.

Soph's field trip

Soph's preschool class took a field trip to the local health center. They did a Zumba class and yoga. They had so much fun, and better yet, it wore them out! A group of 4 year olds dancing the "robot" to "Who Let The Dogs Out" was HILARIOUS!

Poppy and the "Magic Carpet"

Emma decided to whip up some of her own recipes the other day. She was making "fruit soup" which had cut up fruit, Mio drink mix, strawberry syrup and a dash of blueberry yogurt. I suggested freezing in the popsicle molds. She said that was a great idea and she and Soph ate them all up like they were the best popsicles ever!
That afternoon, Soph and I were also treated to a carrot that had been dipped in caramel sauce and then "powdered" in salt! Emma loved it and following suit, Soph agreed that it tasted awesome. Yummy, huh?!
Emma made dinner, too which was cut up baby carrots in salted and peppered water with a dash of ketchup. Tim asked to heat his up a bit in the microwave before he tried it. Daddy said it was delicious, of course. :)
