Lily is 6 months old!

I can't believe how fast she is growing. She loves to roll onto her belly and is giggling and smiling all the time. She's a pretty happy little girl.
The girls watched a movie in the pantry yesterday. It was Emma's idea to have a movie theater like experience and the pantry was the darkest room in the house. They set up blankets and pillows and even had snacks and drinks. I think the film was "Enchanted."

Shopping

Since Tim worked late tonight, the girls, Nana & I ran to the mall. Knowing that's where we were headed, the girls' Easter money was burning holes in their little pockets. They each got a purse, with the goods (wallet, play phone, band aid, camera, some jewels...you know, the usual stuff) as well as their $2 in Easter money and were ready for the Disney Store! Well there is NOTHING under $4 there! I really didn't think this through. Emma asked how much each item cost. It was a bit painful. We were there forever. Finally frustrated that she could only buy a play phone or a plastic Rapunzel cup we made a deal. She and I knew she had "Mickey Dollars" here at home. She borrowed $5 from me and then she was to pay me back with her Mickey Dollars when we got home. It worked out perfectly. She had just enough. I thanked her for using the Bank Of Mommy.
P.S. Grandma, Emma used the silver dressy purse she got from your house. She looked pretty fancy.

5 dinners in a hour

I found a blog thru another blog called 5 dinners in an hour. You pay for a subscription and then get an entire month's worth of meals emailed as a pdf. For each week of meals you take an hour, get all the ingredients out, assemble them & put them into the fridge for later that week.
I assembled my first week of meals tonight after the girls went to bed. It did only take about an hour. Not too many dishes because you use ziplocs and I used a sink full of water to rinse bowls as I used them. We'll see how the week goes...and what the kiddos think of the food!

the smell test

Emma wanted to leave a snack for the easter bunny Saturday night. She decided on chocolate pudding and a bowl of 6 carrots. She was concerned that he might not be able to get the pudding cup open with his furry paws (she's always thinking). The next morning she noticed that the food was gone except for a small little bite of the carrot. I watched her pick it up examine it, SMELL it and then say, "Soph, it smells like the Easter Bunny!" Cracks me up!

Easter

I didn't get too many photos of Lily because she was still sleeping when the girls woke up and then was inside during the egg hunt. She really likes to hang out in her jumper now. It's right off the kitchen so she can be right in the action.

It's a little blurry...because she was running like a cheetah!

Easter

Soph has on her new "Rapunzel" hair to gather eggs.
Striking a pose...
SO excited to get that hair!
Emma's, Lily's & Soph's
They just saw some hidden eggs out the window, but they have to wait until after church to gather them.

Bath time!
Imitation is the best form of flattery, right? Emma set up her computer, phone and camera just where mine usually are.
