Tim's Surprise Party

Tim's surprise party was a success...he was really surprised! A little shocked I think. We had such a fun time sharing it with our family and friends. Thanks so much to all of you who came to celebrate with us! 

Adult Prom

Tim and I went to an adult prom put on by an Indy radio station last weekend with our neighbors, Mike and Joni. We had a great night out with no "Mommy, Soph took that from me!"

Sophie's 1st Haircut

Soph did a great job getting her first haircut last week. She was good as long as she was on my lap. She even got spray on glitter afterwards. Who-Hoo!

Emma, The Horse Rider

Emma had her first horse riding lesson on Wednesday. I thought that she would only be learning to lead, but after a few rules and instructions she was on a horse! She chose a horse named Stella to ride. She is the youngest and smallest kid in the class, so it was pretty impressive to see her up there in her small saddle. She learned how to hold the reins and worked on some balancing. I got to walk right beside her the whole time with a hand on her, just in case (made me feel a lot better). She was nervous only for a minute when she got on the horse for the first time.  I think it was just the height thing. She got comfortable right away. I'll keep you posted if I'll need to start saving money to buy a horse down the road. We'll see how much she gets in to it.  Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of her in her gear (bright pink bike helmet, jeans and leather princess boots). I'll try to get one next week.

Egg Hunt

Emma was super excited for the egg hunt. She was just a streak in the backyard. I had a hard time getting a good photo of her.

Easter

The Easter Bunny brought a Cat book for Soph. She has the Dog one too that we read every night.
Soph has some serious "bed head" going on.

"Destroyed" List

Living in a house with 2 small children and 2 active dogs, I am constantly upset by things getting chewed up, puked on, colored on, cut up, torn up, torn down or just plain demolished. It may be something small and as cheap as a dime, but it's still frustrating.  So....I have decided to archive it to the side here on the blog. Maybe I won't be so upset, if I have a place to vent.
