Emma was watching Pocahontas today and realized that of all of her princess costumes, she does not have a Pocahontas outfit. So....I thought I would try to make one. It's not like all the lines have to be perfect. So we found some super cheap fabric and trim and whipped one up today.

Our Family 'Trees'

We decided to fill our empty master bedroom wall with some handmade/homemade art. We each helped paint a tree using hand prints and fingerprints as leaves. Fun, but I have to say a little unnerving with a 2 year old covered in paint!

Happy 4th

We had a fun 4th of July. Went to the Symphony on the Prairie on the 3rd. It was a great show and we found that Sophie LOVES to dance to loud music. She dances a bit like the "Weekend at Bernie's" guy, if you're familiar...starts with just a little wiggle and then gets more into it. Absolutely hilarious. I'll try to add a video of her dancing to the blog if I can figure it out.
